1 idea, 60 seconds, daily to spur action towards our best work and living meaningfully and mindfully

Inspired by The Last Time lesson from Sam Harris’ Waking Up App

You squander time as if you drew from a full and abundant supply, though all the while that day which you bestow on some person or thing is perhaps your last.” — Seneca

there will be a last time

There will be a last time that you visit that place with the really cool museum or coffee shop, a last time that you will work on a project with that cherished colleague you’ve known forever, a last time that you will share work with the world and eagerly observe (while working in the background) to see if it made the world better for someone.

There will be a last time for everything and we will seldom know when that time is; we may have even done some things for the last time already. The only moment we can really ever be certain of is this one.

So here’s the imperative: generously offer the people, places and ideas in front of you the full attention, fervor, and care that you would grant a final interaction because you really can’t be sure if there will be another opportunity to work harder, to be better, or to care and love more.

The people, the work, and you deserve all that you have to offer now.
