1 idea, 60 seconds, daily to spur action towards our best work and living meaningfully and mindfully

At what point do you become?

When does a writer become a writer? When does a marketer become a marketer? When does dancer become a dancer?

Is it the first word you write? Is it the first content calendar or piece of ad copy you publish? Is it the first sequence of steps that you take?

Becoming something can feel elusive because, unlike a light suddenly illuminating a dark room, the precise moment where we realize we’ve become something is rarely obvious.

A potentially more useful way to think about becoming is to consider what conditions make becoming possible:

The first condition is recognizing that the world needs more brave creators like you because the world thrives on people who generously share their work.

The second condition choosing to begin because the first word, the first piece of ad copy, the first dance step is what starts it all.

The third condition is resolving to persist because every word after, every ad copy after, every step after is what leads to learning and growth.

Today is as good a time as ever to understand that the world needs your work, to choose start, and to resolve to persist. And in time you will find that you have become a person who, in generously sharing your work, help people and the culture flourish.
