Cultivating joy and happiness

“Just as athletes do specific things to get themselves into “the zone,” high performers consciously cultivate joy.” — Brendon Burchard, High Performance Habits

A study done by researchers at Harvard University and the University of California, San Diego found that when someone become happy, the people around them have a greater chance of becoming happy as well.

Another research study done at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School found that happy workers also tend to be more productive.

As you go about the next week, consider the power you have to cultivate joy and happiness among the people you engage with through your words and actions.

When you cultivate joy and happiness you are improving your well being, the well being of others, and increasing everyone’s collective ability to do important work.
