Five wisdom bites

10 years ago a professor encouraged me to write down every piece of wisdom I observed.

By writing them down, it reinforces what I’ve learned & it gives me something to look back on when I need to be reminded.

Here are five of my favorites from the last month:

  1. Never appoint more than one captain.
  2. The least miserable person is usually the least picky.
  3. Almost everything offers a lesson when you’re ready to receive it.
  4. Yesterday you said you’ll do it tomorrow — you know exactly what you need to do.
  5. It must be acceptable to be wrong. If you fear being wrong, you will not do anything interesting.

Wisdom is ephemeral — often forgotten.

When you learn helpful things, it pays dividends to physically write them down.
