What do you think will you be most proud of when you’re 80?
When the octogenarian participants of all kinds of different backgrounds in the longest-running study on adult development (The Harvard Study of Adult Development) were asked what they were most proud of looking back, almost all of them highlighted their dedication to the people in their lives.
It’s the people.
If you find yourself wondering about what is going to create the most meaning in your life both in the present and in the future looking back, prioritizing showing up for the people in your life — family, friends, partners, colleagues, and your community — is a good and worthwhile bet.
