Perception
Just about everything we experience is colored in by the facts of the situation and our perception of those facts — particularly the response we believe they warrant.
Some perceptions shut the door while others pave a path forward.
Say you fail a test according to some metric — fact.
You might consider yourself a total failure as a result — that’s perception, not a particularly helpful one.
Alternatively, you could see the failure as an experience that you can learn and grow from — also perception, a much more helpful one that invites you to consider how to leverage what’s happened for your benefit.
