Stop at 80%

It’s been a long few days.

I’ve accomplished maybe 80% of what I was hoping to do and I’ve become increasingly content with that.

On multiple occasions I’ve learned the hard way that trying to get the last 20% is almost never worth it if it means giving up an hour of sleep or feeling miserable.

If it’s towards the end of the day and you’re tired and you don’t want to do anything: don’t.

Of course there’s exceptions. If it’s truly life or death or circumstances absolutely necessitate that you keep going, then do what you have to do.

Otherwise, in moments like these it’s important to reflect on how you really want to live your life.

Yes, you want to get meaningful things done. But not at the expense of your mental and physical well being.
