the back button doesn’t work

Yesterday while deep into researching something online, the back button in my web browser stopped working all of a sudden.

This frustrating technology snafu ended up being a weirdly salient reminder of the fact that life doesn’t have a back button either.

You can’t undo actions already taken or take back words that have already left your mouth.

Reality has already accounted for them.

It’s okay though…because while you cannot change your past, the present represents a constant open invitation to change your future.

You can say sorry, you can learn so that you may do better next time, and you can make different decisions that will alter your course.

The future is full of possibilities that start with what you choose to do right now.
