The impact of admitting you were wrong
Someone I know admitted they were wrong about something they were previously very bullish about.
I respected this gesture greatly because it’s not always an easy thing to do and it was an obvious sign that they were solving for something bigger than themselves.
When we’re solving for something bigger than ourselves, we allow our best work to come forward.
Big Egos, on the other hand, are infamously good at supplanting goals and derailing efforts.
When you realize you’re wrong or that you may be wrong, you’re actually at a defining moment:
You can admit you were wrong, gain clarity, and continue to do great work.
Or you can decline to admit anything, continue to mislead others and yourself, and risk things falling apart.
