What happens after what happened (returning 11/04/24)

Traveling over the next two weeks; will be returning 11/04/24

This morning had a bit of a rough start:

I dropped a 45-pound plate on my phone which cracked my screen… and then proceeded to drop another 10-pound plate on my foot.

In the past I would have told myself, “man, today is not my day.”

Today, I decided not to declare this because there simply wasn’t enough evidence to make this claim yet.

These two things took place for all of 2 minutes between the events themselves & the subsequent pain they inflicted (in this case emotional and physical).

The day was still young with 13 waking hours left. Who is to say how the rest of the day will go? All kinds of fruitful things can be accomplished provided that I’m of the mind that they can be accomplished.

As I write this the day is coming to a close and guess what? The rest of it went well.

What happened does not always need to dictate what happens.
