What if you have what you need right now?
When you’re feeling stressed or upset, a useful question you might ask yourself is:
“What if I have everything I need to experience this right now?”
A lot of times a gentle rotation in perspective can make an meaningful difference on how we feel about our circumstances.
I’m not talking about the kind of perspective shift that involves forcing yourself to feel good about a situation that isn’t good, but a kind of shift that involves recognizing that you can sit with the challenging situation in front of you and with how you feel about it and be OK.
You can work through. You can survive it. You can manage it.
It’s such a powerful two-word realization: you can.
