What is stopping you?

Every time you utter the words “I wish I could…” or “if only…”, you should immediately follow up with the question: “what is actually stopping me?”

“I wish I could start this awesome thing today…”

What is stopping you from doing it today?

“If only I could be better at…”

What is stopping you from starting now and getting better?

Of all the limiting beliefs that exist, at least half of them probably originated from a bogus story you told yourself five years ago that you never questioned.

It is always worth confronting the question: “what’s stopping me?”

Either it will humble you by helping you identify real barriers that you need to figure out how to navigate.

Or, it will get you fired up by helping you realize that the answer is absolutely nothing.

Life is short.

Most of the time it’s not a thing holding you back, it’s fear. And if fear has its way, you’ll spend the rest of your life avoiding meaningful action because of it.

The great news is that you are pretty much always one decision — one freaking scary act of courage, one exhilarating leap away — from knocking it down.

If you wait 5 minutes or until tomorrow to do it, there’s a good chance that the energy to act is will be gone.

So do it now.
